How does it help students and families read your site?
- The Dyslexia profile turns on a readable font, Medium letter spacing, 1.8× line height and the reading guide in one click.
- The ADHD friendly profile stops motion and adds a reading mask that dims everything but the lines being read.
- Read aloud reads any paragraph or heading a visitor clicks, using the voices built into their browser.
- Page structure lists the headings on a page, so visitors can jump straight to the part they need.
- The panel itself comes in English, Bengali, Hindi, Spanish, French and German, and picks the page or browser language on its own.

What should your school still fix?
The widget changes how pages look for each visitor. It can't change your site's code, your documents or your videos. Public schools and universities may also have legal duties for their websites; the ADA guide explains them in general terms. A widget does not meet those duties for you. Start with these fixes:
- Use headings in order on every page, so the page structure makes sense.
- Add captions to videos and transcripts to audio. The widget can't create them.
- Make PDFs and other documents accessible, or publish the same content as a web page. The widget doesn't run inside PDF files.
- Write a text description for every meaningful image. See the alt text guide.
- Label every form field, from applications to event sign-ups.
The website accessibility checklist covers the rest.
How do you set it up?
Add your school's domain in the dashboard and paste one line of code into your site's template. There are guides for WordPress, Google Tag Manager and any website. Each subdomain, such as library.example.edu, is added as its own site, and your plan sets how many sites you can add. See pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Do students need an account to use the widget?
No. Anyone who visits your site can click the button and use the tools. Settings are saved in that visitor's own browser, with no account and no cookies.
Does the widget work inside PDFs or our learning platform?
It works on web pages that load your install code. It can't change PDF files, and it only appears in a learning platform if you can add the code to that platform's pages on a domain you have registered.
Does the widget make our school website ADA or Section 508 compliant?
No. The widget gives visitors tools to adjust your pages, but these rules are about your site's own code and content, such as headings, image descriptions, captions and form labels. Those need to be fixed in the site itself.
Can Read aloud read pages in other languages?
Read aloud uses the voices built into the visitor's browser and device, in the language your page is marked with. Which voices are available depends on the device.
